Your clipboard stays on your Mac.
NipStash is built to be private by default. Your clipboard history and snippets are stored on-device and are never sent to us or anyone else. There is no account to create and nothing that phones home.

What NipStash stores
When enabled, NipStash records the items you copy so you can find and re-paste them later. This history — text and images — is written to a sandboxed store inside the app’s own container on your Mac. You choose how many items to keep, and you can clear the entire history in one tap from the settings popover.
Snippets you create are likewise stored only on your device. Nothing in your history or snippets is transmitted off your Mac by NipStash.
What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, or email is required to use the app.
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry. We do not measure how you use NipStash.
- No cloud sync. Your clips are never uploaded to a server we operate.
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party trackers.
Purchases
NipStash Pro is unlocked through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Payment and receipt validation are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Clipboard contents and sensitive data
Because NipStash captures what you copy, its history can contain sensitive information such as passwords or tokens if you copy them. That data never leaves your Mac, but you remain in control: reduce the history length, or clear it entirely, at any time from settings.
Support requests
If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the details you choose to send — your email address and message — solely to reply and help. We do not use them for any other purpose.
