Your clipboard stays yours.
NipStash is built to be private by default. Your clipboard history and snippets are stored on your devices and are never sent to us or anyone else. If you use iCloud sync, they travel only through your own iCloud account — we operate no servers and collect no data. There is no account to create and nothing that phones home.

What NipStash stores
When enabled, NipStash records the items you copy so you can find and re-paste them later. This history — text and images — is written to a sandboxed store inside the app’s own container on your Mac or iPhone. You choose how many items to keep, and you can clear the entire history in one tap from settings.
Snippets you create are likewise stored on your devices. NipStash never transmits your history or snippets to us or to any third party.
iCloud sync
NipStash can keep your text history and snippets in sync between your Mac and iPhone. Sync uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage tied to your personal Apple Account: the data moves directly between your devices and your private iCloud storage, protected by Apple as described in Apple’s privacy policy. We never receive, see, or have any way to access it — there is no NipStash server.
- Only text history and snippets sync. Images always stay on the device where you copied them.
- Sync can be turned off at any time in settings; your data then stays purely local.
- Clearing your history also erases the synced copy from your iCloud storage.
- Items you lock as sensitive stay masked on every synced device.
What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, or email is required to use the app.
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry. We do not measure how you use NipStash.
- No servers of ours. iCloud sync runs entirely inside your own Apple Account — your clips are never uploaded to a server we operate.
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party trackers.
Purchases
NipStash Pro is unlocked through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Payment and receipt validation are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Clipboard contents and sensitive data
Because NipStash captures what you copy, its history can contain sensitive information such as passwords or tokens if you copy them. That data is never shared with us or anyone else, and you remain in control: lock individual items so they are masked everywhere, reduce the history length, or clear it entirely — including the synced iCloud copy — at any time from settings.
Support requests
If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the details you choose to send — your email address and message — solely to reply and help. We do not use them for any other purpose.
